is it good? i made RW reservations there and am curious as i've never heard much. I do love steak and never treat myself to any of the upscale steak houses in dc. thanks in advance!

I've never been to the DC location(s), but have been unimpressed at other locations. It's very expensive for what you get.

Nothing like it should be, which is the NYC version.
My steak was a former flip-flop sole, and our server chimed in on our conversation at every opportunity.

Probably the most bare bones of all the steak joints. I did have a pretty big filet there once. Other than that, I can't think of anything good to say about the place. It would probably be my second-to-last choice of the 10 or 12 steakhouses in the city.

Do yourself a favor a make a reservation at Prime Rib for RW! It's a great deal and delicious food.

I've had the porterhouse for lunch in the grill area and it was just okay. service was pretty decent too, but the place wasn't crowded. I don't think I'd bother returning for dinner though. I'd be more inclined to treat myself to Rays the Steaks, Prime Rib, or maybe Capital Grill.

No, it is not good. However, it is expensive.
