Chef's Table for Two DC Metro Area

Does any one know of a place to get a chef's table for a couple and not a huge party. The common places like Citronelle and CityZen require 7+ people.

I am looking more for the experience and food quality. Doesn't have to be a fancy place.

Not really DC proper, but Grapeseed has a chef's table which is a bar overlooking the kitchen (at least it was before they renovated). You can sit between two and four people on any night. It's great. Jeff comes and chats with you, you watch them cooking for everyone and it is $55 before the booze.

I would say check out Komi. It's not a chef's table, but a chef's tasting. The food and service are both excellent. It is pretty expensive though (I think $100+ per person just for food).

Check out Indeblu, they gave a great chefs table that has a great vantage point into the kitchen
