<content>We do want to add new, more localized boards in the future, especially for our multi-state regions. We're not doing so now because it requires some coding changes to properly handle the archives of the existing boards. Those changes haven't made it to the top of the priority queue yet, and there's currently no timeline for when board splits might take place.

We're not particularly looking for suggestions for new boards -- we carefully examine the volume of traffic on existing boards, as well as the vibrancy of a given local food scene, and look for cohesive geographic and culinary regions to create new boards. There are a lot of factors that go into the decision, but support for it on Site Talk isn't a major one -- just a few posters can create a lot of demand on Site Talk, without necessarily reflecting where the real need lies. We do appreciate everyone's enthusiasm and input, but we don't want to leave anyone with the impression that a campaign requesting a specific board will make it happen.
