New Chef At West

Can anybody tell me who has replaced Chef David Hawksworth at West? If it is sous chef Stephanie Noel, then the food should remain superb. But does she have the stuff of an executive Chef??

He will have his own restaurant in the Georgia Hotel. (Hotel Georgia?) It won't be opening for close to a year though. As soon as I get the name etc. I will post it here.

Hotel Georgia, and the rumor mill says the resto may be named - Hawksworth.... set to open in 2009

if you google EAT magazine their current issue which is available on line has an interview with the chef where he plays "coy" with the name commenting that Hawksworth is one of the ones being mentioned......

Yup... did lots of snooping and got the details. A 2009 opening gives me a chance to save for the trip and for dinners at West and Chef David's new place.

we were there this past week. As it was the first time, can't compare, but everything we had was perfectly executed, well presented, and thoroughly enjoyed. I didn't care for the amuse-bouche, but the treats that they served with the bill were amazing: eggnog truffles, and some sort of raspberry macaron which was so intensely flavored.

I heard that it is Warren Geraghty from London (L'Escargot). Stephanie Noel is staying as sous chef.
