Considering taking OOT visitors there tomorrow evening as they are staying near the airport. Last comments I could find are more than 2 years old and wondering if anyone has been there lately? Any other suggestions (other than Richmond's superb Asian restaurants) in the area as alternatives.

If it doesn't have to be seafood, Papi's Italian Restaurant has great reviews.

I have eaten there (before the fire). It's "OK" for locals who need a good place to eat in Steveston. Out of Towners will walk away unimpressed, though. It's really just another Italian joint. (I live in the Commercial Drive area, so my expectations are a little skewed, perhaps.)

Steveston is such a nice place to go to...too bad the food scene is lacking. I would love to see one of the Seafood restaurants on the water hire a decent chef. A destination sushi place would be nice too.

Nope, sorry, it's been ages since I've been to Steveston and I can't remember the name of the restaurant we went to.

I was just in Steveston last weekend (my parents live in Richmond). I honestly did not see anything that interested me in the least. I was forced to eat overpriced and bad fish&chips - blech.

Your best bet is to stick to what Richmond is justifiably (world) famous - Asian. Hopefully someone else has some other suggestions.
