Best Lobster Sashimi?

Where should i go for a still twitching lobster sashimi delight? I used to get it when I lived in Johannesburg of all places, but don't know where to get it in NYC.

      I used to have Lobster sashimi at Jewel Bako and they were certainly top-notch. However, that was before Chef Shimizu left and went to 15 East. Since then I haven't been to Jewel Bako, but I am sure they still offer it.

      And of course now you can get it at 15 East!

        With all fairness to Shimizu, Bako has gone through a fair share of chefs and has always remained a more than dependable destination. I will soon be moving to a place equadistant from Bako and Bond St. and I am pumped.

      1. The newly reopened Ushi Wakamaru! They pull it right out of a tank for you and you're eating it before it stops moving.

          Hamstrman-have you been to Ushi since it reopened? How was it? Is the lobster sashimi something new? Soto also has great lobster sashimi. Blue Ribbon Sushi was the forerunner I believe.

            I'm going to the new and improved Ushi tomorrow night with some friends. I'll report back after I do. The lobster sashimi isn't new. I've ordered it before and they pull the lobster right out of the tank, take the tail off, cut it into about 6 pcs and put it on rice. It was sushi, not sashimi, but clearly you can get it with or without rice.
