One of us works near Van Ness and Market and two of us at the other end of Van Ness near Aquatic Park, so we'd like to stick to the Van Ness corridor area. We are not super-trendy but also not fuddy-duddies, so want a place with some zip but not too crowded and noisy that we can't talk. One woman suggested the "new" Trader Vic's (where Stars used to be) but I think it might be too staid (and expensive)? Suggestions? Thanks! Thu Jan 03 09:15:09 -0800 2008 109976 Jetlagged 1 3257236 Not much on Van Ness that is not too dreadful, perhaps going to The Hotel Majestic they have a nice bar area, not sure if they have a Happy Hour 1500 Sutter Street San Francisco, CA 94109 or Same for Brick nice bar, not sure if they have a Happy Hour Brick Restaurant 1085 Sutter St. @ Larkin Less Upscale- Both very casual I have not been to Big Foot Lodge for a long time, more casual neighborhood bar, they have a Happy Hour- Bigfoot Lodge 1750 Polk St San Francisco, CA 94109 I like Olive for Happy Hour, just on the fringe of the Tenderloin, neighborhood, casual atmosphere.
