Taco Truck Catering?

I'm planning a party for about 40 people, and I'd like to have a Taco Truck as a caterer. I'd like to have the taco truck parked right next to our party downtown on a Sunday evening. Any suggestions, or do I just pull over on the side of the road and ask a random taco truck owner?

Cheers!

We just got confirmation from Taco Zone and they quoted us $650 for 100 people. Three meats, rice, and beans. Best part though is that it's FROM the truck, for three hours.

I've called a bunch of the recommendations and the thread that lileor posted and most of them do not have actual trucks. I am having a wedding and want to have a truck come by later in the evening but for several reasons they cannot cook on premises.

Does anybody know of tasty taco trucks that will drive over to Culver City (Venice and La Cienega) for 90 minutes to 2 hours? I tried El Chato and they wanted $1,000 for 3 hours which I thought was very expensive. I'd like to spend around $400 to $500 for 2 hours but I'd also like a truck with good tacos. The truck on Venice just west of La Cienega would be a convenient option but those tacos are not great.

I reached someone at Taco Zone and they are supposed to call me back. At least I know how to reach them. I told them I want an actual truck.

Just FYI in case they don't respond to you right away-Taco Zone's truck was attacked recently and caught fire.

I chose and worked with Lety's Catering. 323-353-8303, ask for Liz. This was for a fun holiday party for the crew of a restaurant, and we all loved the tacos. Highly recommended to other chowhounds.

We just used Lety's for an event and loved them. They came with a cart and used tables though, do you know if they will actually do it from a truck as well?
