BaLe in Langley Park?!

Finally visited today. Different ownership than the Rockville branch. No tables, strictly a deli/grocery. No menus available, just two dry-erase boards behind the counter. I got two banh mi, one pork and one chicken. Both were tasty. Too late, I noticed they offered a shrimp cake banh mi (not offered in Rockville) which I will get on my next visit.

This is the only Vietnamese food that I know of east of Wheaton (I assume Saigonese is still in business), so I will return.

  1. Yep, its been there quite a while. I don't think the sandwhiches are quite as tasty as the Rockville branch, but its Langley Park, so you have to take what you can get!

    1. I went there today, and they have tables now. They've ditched the dry erase boards in favor of menu boards. For a quick lunch, it's worth the price.

      1. Saigonese is still there---I had a great meal there recently...Appetizer Platter, Sweet and Sour Whole Crispy Fish.

        1. I've been in once and they were very eager to explain all the dishes to me, which I thought was really nice.
Don't forget Pho 75 across the street!
