Good Indian Restaurant

I'm looking for a good northern Indian restaurant for tonight. I would like somewhere with good decor as well as good food if possible, lots of posts on here suggest this doesn't exist.

We are in Toluca Lake, but are prepared to travel around 20 miles in any direction.

Gungadin in Studio City on Ventura Place. Really good.

I keep confusing Northern and Southerb, but I beleive Southern is the more dosa and vegetarian centric type, right? Gungadin is the one that is less vegetarian and dosa oriented.

Maurya, 151 S. Doheny Drive, Beverly Hills or Tanzore, also in Beverly Hills on La Cienega Blvd. along "restaurant row".

Maurya has changed to Chakra, although the menu is probably similar.
