Where to Buy Duck Legs?

Anyone know where I can buy duck legs Downtown without having to buy the rest of the duck? Whole Foods doesn't sell them separately. Thanks for any leads!

  1. Ive gotten them at grace's market before, but thats UES.... I would maybe try garden of eden. Of course, you could always hit up china town, if youre brave :)

    1. You don't have to be brave to buy them in C-town. I've been getting them from Deluxe Market for years.

I've also bought them at the Union Square Greenmarket.

Prices at Union Squar Greenmarket are a little steep, I think. It might be cheaper to just buy a whole duck and butcher it.

        2. If you do FreshDirect, they have duck legs from Jurgielewicz Farm on Long Island. Frozen; $3.99/lb.

I've seen then at Fairway, but downtown maybe Jeffrey in the Essex market.

Agreed. We still order them even though the price doubled. I knew something was wrong we we could get 2 for $4.

I've also seen the packaged confit legs in the west village at Ottomanelli's and Murray's.

            1. I needed some today and after not finding them at WF (Chelsea), Citarella and Dean & Deluca, I bought them at Jefferson Market - about $17 for 4 of them - from the Hudson Valley - have a d'Artagnan label on them as well.

I'm surprised about Citarella. Were you at the East Side store? The West Side store has had them regularly, although I must say I haven't been there in nearly a week.

I called the UES store from outside of the WF in Chelsea. Started driving towards the Village and called Jefferson Market and stopped there w/o checking at the 6th Avenue one since JM had them. I know I've bought them at Citarella before.
