Hazelnut or Walnut Cream Sauce?

I have a vague memory of a memorable dinner of homemade pasta with one of the above sauces (it was not that Olive Garden rendition). I've searched the internets far and wide and haven't found anything that quite worked. Any suggestions before I begin experimenting? Thanks!

  1. A classic Mexican dish is chilies en nogada (chili rellenos with a walnut cream sauce and pomgranite seeds). Goggle chilies en nogada and see if one of the recipes sounds right for your walnut sauce. NOTE: The nogada sauce is sweetish. Decrease sugar to taste.
