Must do places in SF?

In SF for a week and wondering where the must-go foodie places are... Also, are there any authentic Italian delis or markets?

It might be a good idea to first read the "New to the SF Board" sticky up at the top, do a few searches around the board and read topics from visitors, and then post a more detailed query, with information about the kind of food that you're looking for, where you're coming from, and how much you want to spend. The Ferry Building (both the marketplace and the Saturday, and to a much lesser extent, Tuesday markets) should definitely be on your list. Good luck.
