Recommendations in Westchester County Area
Any recommendations for a comfortable, casual and reasonably priced restaurant in the Westchester County Area for a Sunday night dinner ??? Something different would be a nice change from the usual Italian/Chinese/Mexican... Thanks.

Brooklynite, perhaps a trip thru the cuisine of Morocco at Zitoune in Mamaroneck might perk up your evening...the food is tasty, from the crispy nuggets of cod appetizer to the Tagine simmered short ribs. Another option might be Artie's Steak & Seafood on City Island, just over the Westchester border, where the kitchen can surprise with such creatively prepared fare as bacon wrapped jumbo shrimp appetizer and tender grilled veal chop with Jack Daniels sauce...prices are moderate at both spots and portions are ample.

re: gutreactions
GR, based on your recommendation, I finally tried Artie's -- and you are quite right!
Fills the bill without the drive to Montauk. The service was outstanding, the drink was just right, and the food was good. The stuffed lobster tail, clams, shrimp, and calamari were very fresh. Salad, potato and bread were included. The bread was free and the parking...well, you know.
Total was $135. for two. I would recommend Artie's to anyone who asks for a seafood place in Lower Westchester. Thanks again.
Oh, I almost forgot -- a guy at the next table was singing Frank Sinatra to the server. You can't 'ask' for better than that!

re: dolores
delores, I'm glad you gave Artie's on City Island a try...It is a terrific restaurant with great food...I see you went for the traditional seafod menu which is fine...their Zuppa di Pesce is a trawler load of fresh seafood...next time check out the more contemporary blackboard specials...they are often amazing too!

From a Bklyn native - be much more specific - Westchester is big. Stating a town(s) would be best.
