My group went on a pilgrimage to the new 2nd Ave. Deli location early afternoon Saturday...a line had already formed on E. 33rd. St. as we pulled up in a car...we were deciding whether to wait it out when one of the owners came onto the sidewalk with a large platter of chopped liver on rye and began giving it out to everyone...he also walked over to our car and let us share his treasure...We ended up deciding to go elsewhere, but it was a true N.Y. moment and great P.R...We will be back!
