Trying to remember...Loblaws makes a not bad sparkling juice...I can't remember if it was apple or grape juice. It's packaged like champagne.
RW Knudsen also makes some good sparkling juices, you can get them at any decent size health food store, like the Big Carrot and they'll have a lot at this time of year.
The other drink I liked was Elderflower Presse, it's also sparkling but not too sweet. I think it's easy to find, even the Shopper's Drug Mart near us carries it.
You can also make some fun mocktails like the cosmo-not and dream of next year when your wife can drink again and you have a new baby to celebrate!

I bet Summerhill Market would have some interesting products for you/her. I've also seen something packaged to look like champagne at Sun Valley on the Danforth.
Cheers!

I would absolutely avoid de-alcoholised wines. Just crap. HOWEVER.... On a lark at IKEA, a couple of years ago, in their food section I picked some elderberry syrup (or was it just concentrate?). I mixed it with soda water, and it was like a sparkling Gewurztrminer - if such a thing might exist. Really lovely.

Ikea sells elderberry syrup and lingonberry syrup which are great mixed with fizzy water. Ikea is also having a promo on sparkling juices (apple, apple pomegranate, pear) for 2/$4.98. You can get fancy imported flower syrups for drinks at the Spice Trader also.

I would suggest that you pick up a bottle of sparkling cider. It really is a nice beverage, especially for someone who can't have any alcohol. I normally buy mine at Crepes-a-go-go, on Yonge. They import theirs from France, and I believe it sells at about $8 a bottle. It's always been appreciated when I've brought it to dinners, etc. Good luck!

Both my foetuses enjoyed the champagne! And, y'all do realize that the French have managed to breed for years, right? Truly, RJ, unless she has some pre-existing medical issues that will be complicated by alcohol, don't waste your money, and let her ring in a very exciting new year with a couple of sips of the serious stuff. Then YOU can finish the rest of it!!!
