New Year's Eve in Myrtle Beach...Where to go?

My boyfriend and I are going to Myrtle Beach for new years eve and are staying at the new Dunes Resort Beach Club. We're in our mid 20s and like to eat well and party well. Does anyone have some suggestions of where we should go for new years? We have never been to Myrtle Beach - we like club music, lights, big scene.. as well as mellow lounges with good live music. Either way. Preferabley no chains (why go away to eat at a chain?) and no sketchy people/ smokey dive bars. Thanks for any advice!

  1. Firstly, don't even think about driving. Police will have roadblocks set up everywhere.

Umi Pacific Rim is good and near your hotel. Owned by Divine Dining Group that is local to Myrtle Beach. Very South Beach/Vegas Vibe.

Afterwards head to either Collectors Cafe or City Bar. Both are local places that are upscale dining and lounges.

For nightlife head to Celebrity Square at Broadway at the Beach. You'll have a plethora of nightclubs to hang out in and they usually have bands in the square. Club Kryptonite is within walking distance.

you rock! We went to city bar last night and it was amazing...tonight we are following your lead and heading to Collectors cafe then Broadway at the beach for the big party. Thank you so much...City Bar was surreal last night with the live music, amazing food, and comp'd drinks from the maitre'd.

We are cabbing it tonight as well, that was a great worse way to begin the year with a DUI!

We know undoubtedly that our night will be fab. Thanks again!
