Favorite cheesecake recipes

I've been making this Junior's cheesecake recipe for a couple of years now (http://www.cooksrecipes.com/dessert/j...) and while I've been happy with it I've been wondering if there are any other good recipes out there. I've looked at Cook's Illustrated and Food Network and there's a lot of variations in recipes...from 1 to 2.5 lbs of cream cheese, some with sour cream, some with heavy cream, some with only 2 eggs, some with up to 6 eggs and 2 yolks...

So what are everyone's favorite cheesecake recipes? I like a firm but creamy cheesecake (I guess New York style?).

  1. I use the one from Allrecipes.com. http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Chantals...

For Christmas dinner at my in-laws, I made two apple pies and this cheesecake. Afterwards when we were all leaving my in-laws asked if we wanted to take any leftovers home. My husband immediately said, "we'll take back the cheesecake!" He's been in hog heaven ever since. He considers himself a cheesecake afficionado.

    1. Pumpkin cheesecake with a gingersnap crust!!!

this is my favorite... i do use pecans instead of hazelnuts, but it is insanely good and cooks beautifully everytime. enjoy.

I made that pumpkin/gingersnap cheesecake (a different recipe but same name) and it's fantastic! I used Trader Joe's triple gingersnaps for the crust.

My favorite is the lemon curd marbled cheesecake from Epicurious. Very impressive looking, but still easy. I'm not usually impressed with myself, but this had me thinking I should open a restaurant :)))
I topped it with candied thinly sliced lemons. Here's the link: http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/foo...

      2. Bourbon Pecan Pumpkin Cheesecake, avail for d/l on SmittenKitchen.com

        1. This one is my all-time favorite. It came from The Los Angeles Times California Cookbook. The Grand Marnier is just enough to give it a hint of flavor--barely there but enough to make such a difference!

          1. This is my go-to cheesecake recipe. It is fabulous, and I've made it so many times I practically know the recipe by heart.

My favourite is the Three Cities of Spain recipe that I believe is on Epicurious. It is very easy and the results are silky smooth with just the right amount of sweetness. It is a light textured cheesecake, so if you prefer a heavier New York style, this recipe is not for you. I also like its simple sour cream vanilla topping.
