Seafood Outlet

I was driving up was it Fifth Street? on Saturday at around 3 and as I crossed was it Central? noticed a huge crowd outside a place called Seafood Outlet. I've never seen it mentioned here--any one have any experience with this place?

Fishermen's Outlet is a nightmare with a happy ending. Long, unkempt lines are the rule for the opportunity to take your food (in only the finest styro)home or to the adjacent cement, family-style "patio." But what food. Tasty, tho normally overdone, fried stuff like shrimp, fish, scallops, et al. The broiled fresh (very fresh) fish however is consistently simple & superb, nicely flavored & always succulent. How they keep each & every order straight amidst the chaos is one of life's great mysteries.

Thanks for the clarification, and for the review. Do you have any sense of the hours or the exact address? I seem only to be able to find it when I'm not looking.

There's another fish house just across the way (I want to say Clearwater but I'm not doing too well with names). The parking lot there seems to be deserted which probably tells me all I need to know but if anyone has experience of the place I'd be interested.

Fisherman's Outlet is at the corner of 5th & Central. Its market & restaurant are primarily daytime (lunch) operations. I do not know what time they close.

Careful, now. Fisherman's Outlet, as described, is a little south of 5th. There's another place there called "Catch 21, " that's just to the north. I've never been to Catch 21; nobody goes there, because, I imagine, its not as good.

I hate to answer a question with a question, but are you talking about the Fisherman's Outlet in Downtown Los Angeles?
