Sea Garden (Bellevue WA) closed?

I called last night for takeout and found their phone had been disconnected. Too bad; I liked their minced shrimp w/tofu. The treasure duck wasn't half bad either. Are they really gone?

By the way, I hear they have another restaurant in the Seattle ID. Is it any good?

They're finally closed? They charge high-end restaurant prices for average Chinese food. I remember paying (well, not me - but somebody did) close to $500 almost 2 years ago for a below-average 10-course seafood banquet menu (which costs $200 one freeway exit away at King's and it's executed much better). Terrible censored dimsum. Good riddance.

King's is not that good of a place. More a economy dinner on a weeknight kind of thing. They have a menu with 2 dishes + rice + soup + dessert for $20. But they do have higher end fare (traditional Chinese banquet menus) that is done pretty well if you so desire.

I've been eating at the Seattle Sea Garden for years (yikes, over 10) ..though I can only recommend Crab w/ black bean sauce, singapore noodles, salt & pepper prawns & pea vines ..those are the only things I ever order! I know it's pathetic ...but oh well

Yes, the roast chicken, shrimp with honeyed walnuts and mayonnaise, fried oysters, and spinach with garlic that we had recently was quite good.
