Diner Grill (W. Irving Park Rd.)- does it still exist?

I used to live in Chicago and frequented a hole-in-the-wall diner called the "Diner Grill" (I believe on Irving Park Rd.) that featured, among other things, the "slinger" (a mountain of hash browns topped with two cheeseburgers and chili). Does anyone know if this place still exists, and if so, what its exact location is?

it is still there and is open 24 hours a day...but i have heard rumors that the land it sits on has been sold for condo building....so it may or may not be there for long....
    and don't forget...the slinger....hash browns....2 cheeseburger patties....2 eggs...then the chili on top....served with 2 pieces of white bread...untoasted.....
and if you can finish it....you receive a certificate with the cook's signature....i have several...haha

      "The Slinger . . . Don't ask, just eat". :)

Never got a certificate although I did clean my plate (not like I need another piece of clutter, so no complaints). Bring some good hot sauce to top your Slinger with and it's a great hangover cure.

Sorry to hear they may be having the land under them sold, always liked this place for a good ham & eggs (though liked it more back before City Health banished the bone-in ham they sliced it fresh from).

Yep, its still there, I just passed by it last night. Haven't been in there in ages, and I have never had the infamous slinger, but have heard first hand that it is alot better tasting than it looks. Its located at 1635 W Irving Park Rd.

Thanks so much. do you happen to know if it's open 24 hours?
The slinger is incredible comfort food!
