Recs in Westchester please

My family and I are staying in Bedford for the holidays and we are looking for a cozy place with excellent food that is not too much of a schlep. Any advice? Thanks.

I agree with 121 - it is one of my favorite places. We go there almost weekly.
Le Chateau is nice, pricier as I remember, but it is pretty.
In Bedford itself, the Meetinghouse, right next to the movie theater, is good. Not exceptional, but I like it for lunch.

Try Bistro 22 for an upscale French meal. It's on the pricier side but a decent value given the ambience and food quality.

The Blue Dolphin Diner in Katonah is pretty close by to you. It's a diner by day and a cozy Italian restaurant at night. The food is delicious and not a whole lot of tables - so expect a wait.

You could try the Kittle House in Chappaqua, not sure how much you are looking to spend. It's a country inn so it's "cozy" and it has very good food and also the price tag to match. 914-666-8044.

scottishlass, I'm not that familiar with the area, but I've been wanting to try Le Chateau in South Salem.

The BEST place in that area would be Martha Stewart's house, but it might be tough to get an invite!! LOL :)
