I've ordered online from this place several times - very fresh, lots of choices, and you can customize your roast profile (I'm partial to the Guatemalan Antigua with a Full Flavor roast). Looks like they have 3 locations, all in western Broward county.

The only local coffee roaster that I know of is BABY'S COFFEE, which is actually based in Key West, but I know that they have a warehouse in Miami. It is actually really good coffee, so google it and see what you come up with

Baby's doesn't roast in the Keys anymore. They moved the roasting up to the main land but still have a shop in the Keys. The only one who roasts in the Keys is Island Joes Coffee in Key West. http://www.islandjoescoffee.com/

I'm a little surprised myself, but I stumbled into Food & Wine's "Best Boutique Roasters" http://www.foodandwine.com/articles/taste-test-coffee-1 and it showed Volcanica of Coral Springs being one of the best in the country alongside with the famed Intelligentsia coffee.

Maybe it would be a good idea to encourage local coffee shops to carry beans from a local roaster like Volcanica. It seems like their beans are good (and obviously the only one mentioned in South Florida) - amazing how it just was under our nose all this time!
