I'm looking for a relaxed wine bar in the 50's or 60's on the East Side. Any suggestions?
I had a very terrible experience at accademia di vino -- I couldnt believe how much attitude the hostess at the front had....the wine WAS great, but the food I thought was ordinary.
ive had a similar exp w the hostess when its crowded on a thur or fri night but there are two bars to get a drink or apps at while you wait for a table - and i really like the food.
Well, it's not a wine bar, but Solera is good. They have a nice selection of wine and really good tapas.
accademia di vino on 3rd btwn 63 and 64 and felice wine bar on 1st and 64th are both great spots
Bottega del Vino has a lovely and broad selection of Italian wines by the glass.
