i'm in the sfv and looking for a asian grocery store that sells fresh tofu and other asian specialities, and with good prices, any suggestions? thanks

i'm in tarzana, I know of the galleria korean market in northridge and ranch 99 in van nuys, but ive never been to either

There's also Greenland (Korean), Sherman Way and White Oak, but doubt they have fresh tofu.

Seems like the prices at 99 Ranch have jumped quite a bit, but maybe the same goes for every place.

Vinh Loi Tofu -- This is exactly where I would go for fresh tofu and other vegetarian items, wilafur! Their tofu is very tasty and fresh. It is, however, not a complete Asian market.

If you want Asian produce, meats and condiments, I would travel to 99 Ranch or the Korean Galleria Market -- as others have suggested. All in a single stop, then 99 Ranch will have it all!

i wouldn't say one is better than the other. they're...different. 99 ranch obviously has a more chinese influenced selection and the galleria market is korean. but for tofu, i think you can to either one.
