Looking for suggestions for elegant (but not stuffy) PDRs in the city. Thanks!

Small dining room at Grammery Tavern - holds up to 16. Toqueville has two beautiful rooms. Le Bernardin has very flexible space on the 2nd floor with a private entrance. The private dining room at per se is elegant but has no view. All food fab!

We have not been to Per Se, but the website info indicates the smaller of the two private dining rooms on the east side of the restaurant overlooks Central Park.

We just had a lovely meal in the smaller private room at Per Se. Fabulous food, impeccable service, great wine list and excellent suggestions by the sommelier, beautiful view, elegant room. Not at all stuffy. We had a very realxed vibe, and our whole group loved the evening. This experience is the complete package. Only problem, they take a maximum of ten people in this room.
