New Year's Eve in Sarasota

Merry Christmas to all!

We are ex -San Franciscans in search of a good meal on New Year's Eve. Can anyone recommend such a Sarasota restaurant?

  1. Fred's on Osprey just reopened, and heard the food is very good.
    try them for a resv.

    1. I never, never go out on New Years Eve, but there are a number of restaurants that might work. Here are a few of my favorites:
      Rustic Grill
Mattisons on Longboat (they also opened a new one on 41 near Stickney Point, which is quite good)
It's just hard to judge a restaurant on New Years Eve!

      1. Sorry this is late but I had a GREAT meal at The Bottle Stop. Located in St. Armonds. Upstairs is fancy and has neuvo French and downstairs is more casual.

Forgot about that one. We had an excellent meal there last month. We did eat upstairs, yes it was pricey, but the food was wonderful and the service was fantastic. I don't mind paying a lot, once in awhile for a meal that is really worth it, and this one was!! I believe it's called The Cork. By the way, it is not fancy, very contemporary decor, reminds me a bit of a low keyed New York restaurant, and not very large.

I used to eat at Euphemia Haye on Longoat Key. II don't know if it's still there. I loved the fact that their lounge was called the Haye Loft, lol! For really casual dining I love Walts.
