Recommendations for a "nice" lunch in L.A?

Fred Oct 29, 2000 11:28 AM

I go home once a year and have made it a tradition to treat my sisters to a nice lunch. We've gone to Spago Beverly Hills in the past but would like to try something different this time (not that we were ever disappointed, just want to try something new). I took a look at the lunch menu for Campinile and it seemed very limited. I don't know what the weather will be like either so the patio at Hotel Bel-Air might not be the best bet. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Hi, there. If you don't mind a trek "over the hill" to Sherman Oaks, I can highly recommend Pinot Bistro, Cafe Cordiale and Bizhou, all fairly close together on Ventura Boulevard.

If you wanted to be a bit more adventuresome, see my post for Shiraz, which is a knockout.

Why not Chadwicks? It's new, the food is fresh and imaginative, and you can sit on the itsy-bitsy patio or inside.
