Must find Kippers! (preferably in West Toronto)

I'm making Christmas dinner for my dad on the 26th and he always loved to have Kippers....my mum used to make them when i was a kid. But i have no idea where to find them (or how to cook them)!!!

    1. I'm sure I saw them in the freezer with the other fish at 'No Frills' on Parliament just south of Carlton. I would think other supermarkets also stock them. By the way, I just asked someone who lived in Scotland how to prepare kippers -- fill a jug with very hot water and pop the kippers in for about 5 minutes. Out come 'jugged kippers.' Since the fish are already smoked they just need heating up, no need for a lot of cooking.
