where to buy sheep's milk?

my turkish friend is craving it and he said he can't find it anywhere. i was like, come on. it just comes from a sheep. and this is new york.

anybody know this one?

  1. Check out the Union Square farmer's market. There are a lot of shepherds with booths there. Most sell cheese and lamb chops but they might be able to tell you where to buy milk, even if they don't sell it themselves. Or order sheep's milk yogurt online from Many supermarkets sell imported Greek sheep's milk yogurt, if your friend doesn't mind Greek products.

      Last time I was there I found a stall from 3 Corner Field farm selling sheep's cheese. I asked the woman in charge if they sold sheep's milk and she said if you order it in advance, they will bring it down for you the next time they come to the farmer's market.

          Ditto on the cheese-the camembert and harder cheeses are wonderful.

    2. I've seen small bottles of the stuff in Fairway -- for a hefty price.
