Tallahassee....Sage, revisted

32nd Anniversary dinner tonight at Sage, and if it's your 32nd, hey, why not take the kids? So we all piled into the car and off we went.

Starters: the incomparable spring rolls, two orders. Absolutely the tops in town. Can't be beat. Also, an onion soup, rich beyond belief. And the butternut squash soup with pumpkin seeds, well I didn't even get a taste. Salads were caesar, and son said it was the perfect blend of dressing and greens. The roasted beet salad was excellent.

Entrees: hickory smoked pork chop with an onion stuffed with cornbread dressing in a
BBQ-ie sauce was wonderful. Likewise the rack of lamb. A white pizza and vegetable pan stew rounded out the table. A couple of bottles of the Truth syrah/cab blend and a couple of pumpkin cheesecakes topped off a perfect evening. Smooth service and what a wonderful way to finish 32 years. Thanks for a wonderful meal.

  1. Will definitely pay Sage another visit. If I remember correctly, they do veggies well at Sage. However, I do recommend you revisit Mozaik. The new chef has improved things there and I wonder how you'd rate it against Sage, which seems to be consistently good to you.
