Nordstrom Cafe - Natick Collection
Went to the Nordstrom Cafe today at Natick Collection and had a great experience there. At first my friend and i were standing by the entrance waiting for someone to seat us, then this friendly, and kind of cute waiter comes by and says "I assume you've never been here before?" He explained that we pick up a menu, pay at the counter, then a hostess will seat us. I ordered a Lime Cilantro Shrimp salad and my friend got a Salmon Salad (forgot the name). We both got a drink and our totals were around $14.50 each. After we were seated, a friendly waitress greeted us and brought our drinks within a couple minutes. She also came by a few times during our meal to check on us - which was nice. Our salads were FANTASTIC! As my friend put it, "I love how they tossed the salad, every single leaf has just the right amount of dressing." Which I agree, because I usually have to order more dressing on the side when I go out to eat, but this time it was just enough.
The only con was the lady behind the register needed to practice her math and counting a little bit more before taking on that job. I know that math is confusing for some people, which is fine, but my total was $14.60, I gave her a $20, then said "can I give you 60cents?" She looked really really scared and said "ummmmm....ok...." and gave me a dollar as change. I looked at her waiting for my $5 and she said "thats right...right?" I told her to give me another 5 dollars, which she gave me....dunno, maybe I have no tolerance for this kind of thing but this is one of the basics of being a cashier. no?
