Does anyone know of a Venezuelan restaurant in LA?

  1. There was briefly a Venezuelan-Salvadoran in Silver Lake, but it closed long ago, taking its incredible empanada recipe with it. Alas.

    1. If you want arepas, you might want to try a colombian restaurant. I don't know where you are, but there is one in Huntington park that gets good notices and I like La Fonda Antioquena on Melrose near Western, esp. on weekends. and the arepas are quite good if they're warm. There used to be two colombian bakeries in the valley la sultana del valle and another on Magnolia but they're gone for good.
