You MUST get the foie appetizer! There is a supplement but it is worth it..twice over.

Get the Gourmand(tasting menu) w/wine pairing. Well worth the price. If ordering ala carte, get the suckling pig!

Yes, go all out and order the tasting menu with wine! You will be so glad you did. If you want to go ala carte and you both like duck there is a beautiful duck for two.

          Spiritchaser,

EMP does not have an a la carte menu at dinner. It's either a 3- or 4-course prix-fixe or the 11-course Gourmand.

Excuse if I don't use the proper and approved vernacular in regards to restaurant commentary. I have a pretty good idea that the OP will understand what I was alluding to. KMA

No need to get nasty. I wasn't chastising you, but there may be those who are reading these posts who are not familiar with EMP, and I was just trying to make the menu options clear. Fact is, EMP does offfer an a la carte menu at lunch and brunch but not at dinner.

However, since you have brought up the idea of proper usage, I do happen to think it is important to use correct terms when describing menu options. The term "a la carte" does have a very particular meaning, one that is entirely different from "prix-fixe." They are really not interchangeable. :-)

Third that. Also, the chocolate tart with sea salt is great.
