ISO: Thanksgiving sandwich?

Short of going to Whole Foods and getting each ingredient separately from the prepared foods section, I was wondering if there were any places out there that serve a delicious (key) thanksgiving sandwich. Ideally, the sandwich would have turkey, stuffing, and cranberry sauce.

Not open-face and not just the ingredients thrown between two slices of bread, which I can very well do myself. Just wondering if anyone knew of a place that actually made a special Thanksgivng sandwich. I had a mighty tasty one from Pret a Manger in London called a Holiday Sandwich and it had turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, spinach, and some gourmet mayo spread. It was delicious.

  1. I bet if you ask the deli at Gelson's they'd make you a sandwich with all that-fresh carved Turkey, their special stuffing, cranberry, maybe the gingered yams. mmmmmm

    1. Lovebird's in Pasadena (and other locations) has a Thanksgiving Turkey sandwich on their specialties menu, complete with all the goods...can't say how it is since I don't eat the stuff.

(and for those of you who remember Stottlemeyer's in Pasadena- theirs had the best whole cranberry sauce and turkey stacked a mile high).

      1. Sandbags sandwich shops used to do a sandwich like that which I think they called the Sundowner. I haven't been to one in a while, but worth checking out. They are on San Vincente, and in Westwood and BH.

        1. I remember having a good sandwich like that from Damon & Pythias (in Westwood), but that was a couple of years ago, so I can't vouch for whether they still make it and it's still good.
