Dim Sum in the South Bay

Paul Sep 6, 2000 12:07 PM

We're dying for a good dim sum experience in the South bay. There are so many Chinese and Chinese Seafood places in Torrance and the surrounding areas, but I can't seem to locate one that does a traditional "dim sum on moving carts" set up. (ie: not the Chin Chin in Marina del Rey, which is great, but not what I'm seeking).

We often frequented VIP Seafood's fabulous weekend dim sum up in West LA when we lived in Santa Monica, but we're looking for something closer to home (Manhattan Beach)now. Does such a place even exist?

Any help would be appreciated (even if you're not crazy about the place -- I would love to know of a dim sum place here).

Sea Empress in Gardena. Regal Palace Seafood Restaurant and Szechwan Restaurant both in Lomita and both on PCH.

Szechwan has fallen badly in the last couple of years. Regal Palace (2166 PCH) is definitely the better of the two.
