Going to a play on 45th St Need a good restaurant in the area. Love all kinds of food but do not want to be far away from the theater. Any ideas?

        I don't know if 42nd and 9th is too far for you to walk. If not, The West Bank Cafe is really very nice. Great food and if you tell them you are going to a show, they will get you out in time. I usually eat there when I go to the theatre. Not inexpensive, but worth it.
        Here's a link. During the holiday season and on weekends, reservations are a must. You can check for availability at opentable.com
        Enjoy the show!:-}

          My favorite place is Vice Versa.
          Google their menu. You're going to love it.

      Agree with Tay's West Bank rec. Other good options:

      Marseille, on the corner of 9th & 44th, serves excellent French/Mediterranean cuisine in a lively brasserie setting.

      Trattoria Trecolori, on 45th, b/t B'way & 8th, serves tasty homestyle Italian fare in attractive surroundings.

          Marseille is great! I've been there for both lunch and dinner, and was very pleased with the food and service.

          How is Chez Josephine? it looks intriguing but no one ever recommends it here so i'm guessing it's mediocre.
