Prix Fixe lunch: Tocqueville or Fleur de Sel?

Has anyone been to either restaurant for the prix fixe lunch recently? I haven't been to either before but I'm leaning towards Tocqueville. Any opinions?

Not sure about dress code, can I wear jeans and flats? I'm 20something and going with a few of my college friends.

Oh they are BOTH wonderful. You can't go wrong at either. And yes, you will probably be the best dressed one there in jeans and flats.

Haven't been to Tocqueville, but I was at Fleur for dinner a few months ago. I remember thinking it was very good but I wasn't blown away.

Haven't been to Fleur but have been to Tocqueville for the prix fixe lunch. We LOVED it. Great value, service, atmosphere and food.

Jeans/flats no problem at Tocqueville.

Make reservations though - they fill up quickly.

Do you know if Tocqueville will seat you if you arrive early? I made a reservation for 11:45am. Too early?

I just looked up on their site that lunch starts at 11:45, so they will probably seat you at 11:45 on the dot. I'm not totally sure, but I wouldn't be concerned. Have a great time and enjoy it.
