would you rather have a gift cert. to Anthony David's or Zafra's in Hoboken. It's for a client who lives in Hoboken, last year i gave them one for Chucharamama, which they haven't been to and really enjoyed.
I'm sure they have been to amanda's and other places along washington st.
i can do $50 each for both rest. or $75-$100 for one.
Or any other recommendations close to hoboken or jersey city. someplace new or off the beaten path, but nice & delicious.
thanks!

Although I love love Zafra's, for a client, I would recommend Anthony David's.

Anthony David's is nice, but too cramped and it's BYO (not really a special treat)
I might suggest that you try 340 Grill, Lua or even South City Grill in Newport.
These all have solid food, great views and a lush environment.

Funny, I was also going to recommend Ox, as I've heard and read some great things about it. There is also a new wine bar/restaurant in JC...City Vino. Haven't been, but again, have read good things. www.cityvino.com

There is a new restaurant in downtown Jersey City called OX. It's quite good. You can look at the menus on their website. http://www.oxrestaurant.com/
