Transferring data from feeds.theplatform.com

I’ve been having some trouble on Chowhound lately. It seems to be fine with MyChow, but when I’m on any of the boards things slow way down, and the page doesn’t seem to fully load. It says “Transferring data from feeds.theplatform.com" in the lower left of the (Firefox) browser window and it just won't finish loading. This has been going on for at least a couple of weeks now and is getting pretty frustrating. It’s caused the browser to shut down and quit and more then one occasion.

Does someone at Chowhound know what feeds.theplatform.com is and what it's doing on this site?
