Breakfast eateries in downtown L.A.

  • s

I am looking for a good breakfast restaurant in downtown Los Angeles, close to Bunker Hill. I have been to the Pantry, which is good, but I am looking for some place closer.

  1. Try the Yorkshire Grill 610 W 6th St Los Angeles, CA (213) 623-3362

    1. Phillipe in Chinatown. Spring and Ord- classic, Old L.A. and very, very reasonable.

      1. Personally, I've never seen the appeal of The Pantry, except that it's historic, now owned by the mayor and everyone goes there. The food, however, is only OK.

For me, I'd rather just get a donut and coffee at Stan's Donuts in the Citicorp Plaza food court. I go for the Reese's peanut butter pocket, or the cherry-cheese donut.

If I ever find a good place serving a hot breakfast downtown, I'll let you know. But after 15 years in SoCal, it's not likely.
