ChowFun_derek Dec 19, 2007 09:35 AM

From today's Inside Scoop on the Chronicle website:

> In and out: Thierry Clement, chef at Fringale (570 Fourth St.) for the past
> two years, will leave the French bistro after the holidays to open his own
> restaurant, L'Ardoise, early next year in the space of the former Los
> Flamingos space (151 Noe St.) in the city's Duboce Triangle neighborhood.

This should be a better fit for the neighborhood than Los Flamingos(which was mediocre at best). I miss the old Thai House 2 which occupied that space prior to Los Flamingos. It was always a good Thai standby when I lived on that block.

Thai House 2 was very good. I didn't realize it was gone. That's a very nice corner, and a nice space. Clement is a very good Chef, and this should be a real winner for the neighborhood.
