iso Classic Baked Cod Recipe
Someone just gave us a nice hunk of freshly caught cod. I'd like to make a classic New England baked cod like my mother used to make, involving milk, butter, and bread (or cracker) crumbs. Who's got the perfect recipe?

I don't know if this a classic New England recipe but it sure sounds a lot like your mum's. Lay your cod in a buttered baking dish. Drizzle some cream over it (about one quarter cup). Then top with bread crumbs (I use fresh or frozen home-made ones), dot with butter and bake covered at 350 until the fish is done - about one half hour. I like to sprinkle some dill weed on the fish before drizzling on the cream for extra flavor.
