I bought a bag at a spice market yesterday and would like to work into a christmas dinner starter/appetizer. Any suggestions? Can I spice them and toast as I would other nuts?
i think they would have to be reconstituted - aren't they really hard right now? maybe you could reconstitute and use on a pizza/crostini appetizer of sorts.
What are they like? Are they like fresh shelled ones but dried? I've never seen these (and I am a chestnut fanatic.)
can you see the pic?
