Best Steak House for Parents Gift Certificate?

Sorry to ask yet another steak house question, but this is a specific one: Can anyone recommend the best Manhattan steak house to buy my parents a gift certificate for?

They're in their mid-sixties and are most likely to like a place that has great steaks, but is not "over the top" sohpisticated and is not loud (hearing aids are involved...).

I know they like the east side Palm...but I'd rather send them somewhere else, as I personally don't love the steaks there.

We'll probably want to get them a gift certificate for $200.

Suggestions welcome!

I'd second both Keen's and The Porterhouse, If they go to the Porterhouse,and want a spectacular view, they should have a pre dinner drink on the 35th floor of the Time Warner Center .

I think your parents would really enjoy Keens, our favorite steakhouse. In addition to delicious food and pleasant, efficient service, there's the unmatchable old NY ambiance. Plus, the noise level will not pose a problem for them.

That's a good question, kobe. There's nothing about gift certificates on Keens's website though that doesn't necessarily mean they don't have them. Since so many restaurants do have them, it would be odd if they didn't. The best thing to do is to call and ask: 212-947-3636.

Porterhouse @ Time Warner is very nice, quiet and the porterhouse is very good. $200 is a lovely meal there.
