Does anyone know where to get them, preferably in the downtown area? I'd like to make caramel corn.
Thanks in advance!
O.K. - I bite. what are these?
As far as I know, it's just popcorn that "blooms" bigger and fluffier.
I think that's right. Apparently they're better to use for making caramel corn be/c there's less breakage; they're rounder in shape when popped, unlike the 'snowflake' shape that regular popcorn takes on.
Has anyone had any luck finding this??
No, haven't had any luck. I seem to recall finally coming across one company north of Toronto that might supply it, but the name escapes me at the moment.
the description reminds me of the popcorn that i see at the korean grocery stores..... at least, i think it's popcorn....
I have never seen these kind of kernals, but if you have a Bulk Barn close by you should pop in. I am always amazed at the variety of things they carry.
