Ten Prime

I am going to Ten Prime Steak 'n' Sushi this week...

I've searched the board for specific suggestions but of those that have recommended it I don't see any of their picks.

What do you suggest I get?

Starters, sushi, steaks, entrees, desserts, whathaveyou.

Love the vibe at 10 prime ! Lots of fun. Drinks and apps are great.

They have a mashed potato side dish which is RIDICULOUSLY huge and oozing of butter. So if you like that kind of thing, you must get it! Their chocolate souffle is great and their chocolate layer cake is OBSCENE in size. But I always go for the Creme Brulee. I had a friend bring me there - loved it. :)

Did I go on an off night? I had their "Death by Butter" mashed potato side dish a few yrs ago and was totally underwhelmed. It was just a big plate of merely okay mashed potatoes w/a bit more butter than avg. Nothing special about them at all. I haven't been back - I've always felt a sense of "the emperor has no clothes" about that place. There is also a loud obnoxious bar crowd to deal with....I've never been a fan.

Yeah, I just kinda feel old there. Which I am, of course. But it's true, everything tasted pretty good.

The kobe beef appetizer was the best thing I tried there. They give you an ounce of beef slices and a hot rock to cook it, unless you want to eat it raw.

Everything else was solid. I enjoyed the exotic mushroom appetizer.

Almost everything I've had has been solid. I know the kobe beef appetizer is a favorite of many.
