I bought some pink lemons from the Berkeley Bowl, a market near where I live. This NY Times article has a great picture of them ... but mine were even prettier because they had pink stripes outside in addition to yellow and green.

Like the above article says, they pretty much taste like any other lemon. However they are attractive in a bowl and I'll bet sliced they would look lovely in a pitcher of real pink lemonade.

Ya gotta do something in the dead of winter, so to speak. I'm bored with root veggies and even the radishes were in short supply.

Hope to see some of those other many varieties mentioned in that 2005 article ... like the orange-colored lemon ... or the lemonade lemon. Interesting bit at the end about curing winter lemons " stacked in underground storage vaults maintained at 54 degrees, as for wine."

Seems like De Santis at Alemany is selling the varigated pink lemons also.
