Best Nachos on the West Side

ElJeffe Dec 16, 2007 10:29 AM

I know...nachos are not even really Mexican food. I know...nachos are also the favorite food of your average 6-year old. I know...there is amazing Mexican food in LA so why waste my time?

But we all know, sometimes you just want good nachos. Haven't had much good luck on that front. Any recs?

I love the nachos at Duke's in Malibu. Otherwise, the El Cholo ones aren't so bad.

I suggest Viva Fresh, on Sepulveda just south of Centinella.

I'm a big fan of Marix and Don Antonios. Both are massive the last is a meal for two.

Chanos!!! man I wish it was 2:00 AM and that i was drunk and 20 years younger. I loved their pastrami burritos and the screwball drive thru.

            Hello there fellow Trojan ;)

Their mixup burger is also great fun. Their tacos however are worthless.

If you aren't bothered by the crowd at Cabo Cantina, I like theirs. I also like the ones at Baja Fresh a lot.

Baja Cantina in Venice/Marina del Rey has amazing chicken nachos. Best I have had in the LA area.

For inexpensive mexican food, I like baja bud's for nachos.

Agree with the Dukes reco - they are a meal for at least 2 people.
Ahh Channos! I loved that place and have to agree they do have AMAZING nachos. Paper thin, hot and crispy chips with lots of cheese, guac and sour cream. I liked mine with their (probably artery clogging) refried beans. And some of their hot sauce!

I like the fresh tortilla chips at the Pink Taco in Century City and their nachos are even better with the fresh toppings they use!!
