Milano's Italian Kitchen in OC

I had high hopes when I entered Milano's Italian Kitchen in Irvine, CA but those were soon dashed when I tasted my first dish. I started off with the mussels which definately were not very fresh. The sauce left a little to be desired as well. I was in kind of a pizza mood so I ordered the vegetarian calzone. I was rather dissapointed with what I got because the calzone ended up being mostly bread and it was mostly filled with the cheap stuff. In all fairness, it wasn't a bad restaurant if you grouped it with the Olive Garden but was definately not worth what it cost.

I hope this helps someone in searh of a meal in OC.

Thanks for the warning; I've been searching for a decent Italian place in OC. If you're around during lunch hour, there's an italian kitchen (Franco's) in the irvine foodcourt on michelson (something Promenade or just as banal) whose chef works at Georgio Baldi at nights. Marvelous salmon bowtie. Cafe Piemonte in Tustin is seviceable but their lobster bisque and ravioli are just a touch too sweet.
